more than consumer
So I was surprised to see Starbucks in the consumer advocacy category and I've thus expanded it to Social Equity. I believe what people should value in Starbucks is their efforts in fair-trade coffee farming, building a network and education to protect and invest in their sourcing.

I think we're coming to an age where it's not just about what's in it for me, but are they doing for others around me.

Study, work, meet at Starbucks
I don't think Starbucks is especially great for consumers, but they do provide a good meeting place, study area or place to work for free. It changes the economics for some of their customers, to be certain.

I see college students continue to invest in coffee from Starbucks and other cafes. It makes me wonder, where is all this money coming from if our economy is in decline? Should our money go to more important causes rather than a coffee addiction?
