  • Google no longer wants to keep Net Neutrality

  • Google appears to be changing their stance on Net Neutrality and now wants to be able to offered tier services similar to Cable Television. The idea would be that providers can decide what websites fall under each tier (thereby controlling what goes out to the public). On Mobile Devices, providers could simply determine not to allow access to certain websites. This would give said providers complete control over 1) what websites become popular (by putting some websites in tiers that nobody pays for, they are sending that company/website to it's death) and 2) what information the public can access http://arstechnica.com/telecom/news/2010/08/a-paper-trail-of-betrayal-googles-net-neutrality-collapse.ars
