  • To everyone who accuses Toyota of greenwashing: Keep in mind that Toyota is not a social enterprise. Shareholders are its primary obligation, not the environment. Don't expect Toyota to go fully green overnight - that is not reasonable in the ultra-competitive auto market. Instead, applaud Toyota for taking steps toward sustainability. No, some of their vehicles are not as fuel efficient as others. But does Toyota claim to be an environmental superstar? Not at all. It simply brags about venturing further on the route to sustainability than its competitors, which it has. Give the company some credit.
